Novice AE's Lose to Arthur, February 5th
On February 5th, saw the Dodge Caravan Novice AE's lost 7-2 to the Arthur Vipers on home ice, during their final game in regular season action.
Mitchell opened the game by putting pressure on the Vipers and keeping the score at 1-0 for Arthur heading into the second.
In response to the Vipers turning the pressure up Keagan Meinen between the pipes for Mitchell, put his best face forward and deflected several rifles off his helmet, however Arthur managed to add two additional goals in the second period for the Vipers. With just a minute of play remaining in the period, Ethan Jarmuth would retaliate from the point, to get the Meteors up on the scoreboard heading into the third.
However, in the final period, Arthur would find the back of the Meteors net and score three more times, before Ryan Klumper would net a wrist shot from the point for Mitchell's final goal of the game. The Vipers would sneak one last goal in the final twenty seconds of the period, ending the game in a 7-2 loss for the Meteors.
Gearing up to head into playoffs, the Novice AE's will play an exhibition game against Listowel on Saturday, February 13th in Monkton.
