Novice Reps open second round of playoffs with road win in Kincardine
The McLaughlin Auto Wholesaling Novice Reps travelled to Kincardine on Feb 27th to open the second round of their WOAA playoffs, returning home with a 7-4 victory.
Zach Houben led the offense with five points (2 goals, 3 assists) as the locals built a 5-1 lead late in the second period. Kincardine stormed back with three unanswered goals to bring the score to 5-4, but Mitchell would add two insurance goals late in the third period to seal the win.
Additional goals were scored by Dominic Marshall with a pair, Ben Medhurst, Jack Miller, and Jordan Viskeskie. Other assists were recorded by Ryan Hubbard and Miller.
The Meteors next host Kincardine on March 5th, and then await the winner of today's first round Game 5 between Saugeen Shores and Hanover to determine their other round-robin opponent.
