A Great Season comes to an end with a Final Tournament Gold Medal Win by Novice LL2's
On Mar 27, the Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL2 team suited up for their final weekend of hockey, participating in the Waterloo Minor Hockey Fun Festival. 

  The defence would be rewarded for a very successful playoff run and join the ranks as forward for the first three games.  In the first game, the Meteors would face a familiar foe in the Lambton Shore Predators.  Sniper Ryan Hubbard would strap on the goalie gear and turn aside all that the Predators could shoot at him, earning the shutout in a 4-0 win.  Ethan Dearing would lead all scorers with a goal and an assist.  Darius Ladd, Trevor Turk and Bradley Dearing would score the other goals.  Keagan "the Wall" Meinen, converted to a power forward, would register an assist as did his brother Ethan.
Game 2 would be bright and early Saturday morning, as they faced the Waterloo Dodge Caravan Gold team.  The coaching staff would go back to the hot hand, allowing Hubbard to suit up once again between the pipes.  He did all he could to hold his team in it making several saves until Waterloo would score one late in the second.  The boys finally woke up late in the third, and on the power play Ethan Meinen's bomb from the point found the back of the net.  Ethan Dearing and Ben Medhurst would pick up assists.  The Meteors would press hard in the final minute, however were unable to get the go ahead goal, as the game ended in a tie.
Game 3 would be against another team from Waterloo, the Dodge Caravan Blue team.  Medhurst would don the goalie gear for this game and hold Waterloo of the board all game earning the shut out in another 4-0 win.  Hubbard would score two goals, while Noah Mann and Ladd would register a goal and assist each.  Ethan Meinen would earn two assists, while Payton Wood would get one.
Game 4 would be for the Novice Championship, and the Meteros would face their third Waterloo opponent.  This time the Dodge Caravan Red squad.  The kids, knowing this would be the last game of the season, left everything on the ice skating to a 7-2 victory earning their fifth tournament title of the season.  Keagan "the Wall" Meinen would jump back in net and stand on his head again, stopping several good scoring chances.  Hubbard and Mann would each register a hat trick and an assist to lead the offensive attack.  Medhurst would display generosity assisting on three goals, while Turk had two.  Colby Ryan, Lincoln Lorentz, Ethan Meinen and Ladd would also assist on Mitchell goals.
Congratulations boys on a very successful season, ending with an overall record of 53-3-3.
