Meteors & Warriors tie
Dec. 23 the Hoegy's Farm Supply Peewee Rep team played the Stratford Warriors Minor Peewee team in exhibition play.
The Warriors pounced on the Meteors scoring 53 seconds into the game, the quick goal surprised the boys but for the rest of the period each line responded out muscling the Warriors and keeping pace. Halfway into the 1st Evan Morrison scored Mitchell's first goal assisted by Atom AP Connor Lockhart. Both teams traded scoring chances on power plays however the game remained tied till midway through the 2nd frame when suddenly the Warriors again turned up the heat scoring 2 quick goals 1 minute apart proving the boys were going to have to play hard every shift to be successful, 20 seconds later Meteor Karsen Eisler fired back with a nice goal assisted by Morrison and Kyle Richardson. Down by one Morrison dangled and tied the game with a nice individual effort late in the 2nd. No scoring in the 3rd and this game ended in a 3-3 tie.
