Novice AE's Split Four Games in Aylmer Tourney
The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice AE's competed in their last tournament of the year this weekend in Aylmer and came away with two wins and two losses. The Meteors defeated Lucan and Wallaceburg while dropping contests to both Lambeth and London.

In the opening game of the tournament Saturday morning, Mitchell fell 5-1 to the Lambeth Lancers. Lambeth had a balanced attack as five different scorers ended up taking down the Meteors. Mitchell would get on the scoreboard with less than a minute to go thanks to a goal from Jordan Visneskie with an assist from Dominic Marshall.

The squad would bounce back nicely in the afternoon with a dominating 9-4 victory over the Lucan Irish. Mitchell would be up 2-1 after one and then breakout in the second period with four goals to take a 6-3 lead. Visneskie would score five goals with both Marshall and Lucas Roobroeck adding a pair each. Jack Miller would get a pair of assists with James McCarthy and Charlie Geiger getting one helper apiece.

In their third game of the day Saturday night, the Meteors would shutout the Wallaceburg Lakers 5-0 as Mitchell goalie Jack Bree would turn aside all Laker attempts. Geiger and Miller would each net one to compliment a hat trick by Visneskie as Mitchell put the game away with three third period markers.

Sunday morning Mitchell would match up with the London Bandits with the winner going to the finals against Lambeth. Despite a good effort the Meteors were unable to beat the London goalie and fell 4-0 to the Bandits. The physical contest would see an evenly matched game with the Mitchell side unable to capitalize on many close chances throughout the game despite some great passing and teamwork.
