Novice AE's Win Game 1 Against Drayton
The Mitchell Meteors Novice AE Dodge Caravan Kids opened their final series against Drayton with a strong 6-1 win at home on Friday night. Lucas Roobroeck opened the scoring in the first for the home team after taking the puck away from his opponent and going hard to the net for the unassisted goal to get the Meteors on the board. Brayden Glauser would also get a goal in the first period with an assist going to Jake Crowley. 

Jaxen Hartwig would continue his play-off scoring spree after taking a pass from Charlie Geiger to put one past the Drayton goalie. Minutes later while Meteors were on the penalty kill, Drayton would bring heavy pressure on goalie Jack Bree and despite several quick saves, Drayton would get on the board with a goal. The Meteors would fight back with again Roobroeck taking control of the puck and getting his second of the game with the assist going to Glauser. Jack Millar would also score in the second period on an assist from Jordan Visneskie to bring the score to 5-1 going into the third period. 

Visneskie would score the lone goal of the third period on assists from Geiger and Hartwig to bring the score to a 6-1 final. The Meteors will travel to Drayton for game two of the series next Wednesday night.
