Bantams regroup heading into Silver Stick
The Scotiabank Bantams earned a hard-earned point with a 2-2 tie with visiting South Bruce Friday, Dec. 20 - their final game before Christmas and their appearance in the Regional Silver Stick tournament in Kincardine next weekend.

Kevin Rops' second goal of the night with 75-seconds left in the game forged the tie - a well-earned and well-deserved point against their tough opponents who are in the upper echelon of the WOAA league.
Rops deflected a point shot from Luken Van Pelt to tie, and scored a nifty goal three minutes into the second period, converting a dandy cross-ice, behind the back pass from Jake Preszcator.
Tyler Meinen was sharp in goal for the Meteors, stopping 17 of the 19 shots fired his way.
The effort was one of their best in quite some time, as the Meteors sloshed through a 4-1 loss in Seaforth Dec. 17 and sleepwalked through a 5-2 loss to BCH Dec. 14 in Monkton.
Meinen recorded the shutout in their 2-0 win over Saugeen Shores in Port Elgin. Brett DeJong and Kaeleb Baker - with his first of the season - scored third period goals 44-seconds apart to break the goose-eggs.
Mitchell takes on South Huron and Walkerton in round robin play in Kincardine Dec. 27, before taking on their hosts on Sunday, Dec. 29.
Hopefully the squad takes their regained confidence and work ethic with them to Kincardine!
