Mitchell PeeWee LL wins against Drayton
Mitchell Meteors PeeWee LL faced off against the Drayton Defenders on home ice Tuesday night. The Defenders were here for the win and played a fast paced game. Mitchell had a number of great shots that the Defenders goalkeeper kept out of the net.
Near the end of the first period, Caleb Tweddle, after digging hard for the puck sent the first goal of the game to the back of the net. Brent Smith was solid in the Mitchell goal stopping a number of close calls and letting in just one shot in the second period . The third period the game was very physical with a number of penalties called as the teams fought for the win. Jake Walker, assisted by Hayden Adair and Caleb Tweddle, lifted the puck into the top shelf sending in the winning goal of the game. Mitchell takes the 2:1 win.
