Meteors Take 2 Games Back to Back Before Heading Off to Silver Stick!
The boys were in action with a home game against Seaforth Tuesday night and an away game against Listowel Wednesday night.  The Meteors dominated both games and ended both with convincing victories.

Game one against Seaforth at home Tuesday night was a well played game.  The meteors began scoring mid way through the first period with an unassisted goal by Seth Huygen.  Minutes later Connor Lockhart fired one past the net minder on a pass from defenceman, Kale Murray.   The first period ended with Mitchell up 2-0.  The second period began with an early goal from Connor MacLean, assisted by Dawson Dietz and Lockhart.  30 seconds later Huygen popped in his second of the night with Nicholas Houben notching the assist.  Period two ended with Mitchell up 4-0.  The third period was full of great passing drills by the Meteors.  Behind the net offensive passing, defense to defense and center ice break-out passes.  Their patience and effort paid off with 2 more late period goals.  The first goal was scored by Houben, assisted by Huygen.  Then just a minute and a half later, Brett'zky' Poirier finished the Meteors scoring with a rocket shot that found the back of the net.  Houben notched his second assist on the night.  It looked as though Charlie Wood would chart another shut-out until less than 30 seconds left in the game, when Seaforth got their first goal of the night.  Great game boys!!

Game two went the next night when the boys traveled to Listowel. The Meteors came out flying and got a quick hop on a commanding lead. Mitchell began the goal spree less than 1 minute into the game with a goal by Huygen, assisted by Houben and Justin Morrison.  Not long after, Poirier found the back of the net on an unassisted goal. 30 seconds later, MacLean notched a goal with Lockhart and Dietz getting the assists.  Houben got Mitchell's fourth goal of the game minutes later while Poirier and Morrison both got assists.  The Meteors continually swarmed the net, overwhelming the Listowel team and allowing Lockhart to get his first of the night.  Brayden Vosper and MacLean notched the assists.  As the period was coming to a close, Huygen got an unassisted goal for his second on the night.  As the dust settled, the Meteors had taken an irretrievable lead of 6-0 in the opening period.  Period two was a lot calmer and the boys left the scoring to Listowel who were able to pop in their only goal of the game with a couple minutes left in the period.  The last goal of the game came late in the third period when Lockhart got his second of the night, while defenceman, Joey Adam got his first assist of the night.  Amazing first period boys!!

The Meteors are on the road today on their way to Michigan to compete in the Silver Stick Finals beginning tomorrow morning.  Good Luck Boys!!
